According to media reports on May 12, Asia’s first cylindrical “offshore oil and gas processing plant” independently designed and built by my country, “Haikui No. 1”, departed from Qingdao, Shandong Province and was shipped to the Liuhua Oilfield in the Pearl River Mouth Basin. .
This "super energy bowl" is composed of nearly 600,000 parts, with a total weight of nearly 37,000 tons, a height equivalent to nearly 30 stories, and a main deck with a maximum diameter of 90 meters. The area is equivalent to 13 standard basketball courts. Its maximum oil storage capacity is up to 60,000 tons. It is designed according to harsh sea conditions that occur once in a century. It has a design life of up to 30 years and can operate continuously at sea for 15 years without returning to dock.
Faced with the transportation problem of such a huge object, our country’s engineers showed superb wisdom and skills. Since "Hai Kui No. 1" itself has no power and cannot sail autonomously at sea, the "big ship carries a small boat on its back" method was used to load it onto a semi-submersible transport ship to shorten the voyage and reduce transportation risks.
This innovative measure not only ensures the safe transportation of "Haikui No. 1", but also fully demonstrates my country's strength and innovation capabilities in the field of marine engineering.
"Haikui No. 1" will be towed to the deep sea with a water depth of 324 meters for tie-back, and will serve together with Asia's first deepwater jacket platform "Haiji No. 2" in my country's No. 1 deepwater jacket platform. A deepwater oil field - Liuhua 11-1 oil field.
This innovative "deepwater jacket platform + cylindrical FPSO" development model will provide a new solution for the efficient development of my country's deepwater oil and gas fields. It also marks my country's progress in deepwater oil and gas fields. The development field has taken solid steps.
With the putting into use of "Haikui No. 1", the development of my country's deepwater oil and gas fields will enter a new stage. This will not only promote the development of my country's offshore oil and gas industry, but also provide strong support for the sustained and healthy development of my country's economy.
