Fujian 16 MW offshore wind turbine completed installation: one rotation can generate 34 kilowatt hours of electricity

According to news on May 10, China Railway Corporation recently announced that the second phase of the Zhangpu Offshore Wind Farm project it undertook has successfully installed the first 16 MW offshore wind turbine, marking the beginning of batch demonstration applications of the project.
The wind turbine has an impeller diameter of 252 meters and covers a sweeping area of approximately 50,000 square meters, which is huge.
Based on long-term wind measurement data in the sea area, it is expected thatit can generate 34.2 kilowatt-hours of electricity per revolution, and the average annual power generation is expected to exceed 66 million kilowatt-hours. This output is enough to meet the regular electricity needs of about 36,000 households of three for a year.
The second phase of the Zhangpu offshore wind farm project is the first offshore wind power project in southern Fujian. It is not only a pioneer demonstration project for the development and construction of a large offshore wind power base off the coast of southern Fujian, but also has been rated as Key construction projects in 2024.
The batch demonstration application of 16 MW offshore wind turbines in the Zhangpu Phase II project is a milestone in promoting the high-quality development of large-scale domestic offshore wind power equipment.
