When a coal-fired boiler is working, it will release a large amount of smoke, carbon dioxide, and harmful gases such as nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide due to the burning of coal. For this reason, central heating is not actually clean heating. So what is considered clean heating?

Here we need to clarify a definition, clean heating, broadly speaking, refers to the use of natural gas, electricity, geothermal, biomass, solar energy, industrial waste heat, clean coal burning (ultra-low emission ), nuclear energy and other clean energy sources, achieve low-emission, low-energy consumption heating methods through high-efficiency energy systems. One of the basic purposes of this kind of heating is to reduce pollutant emissions and unnecessary energy consumption, and be as green and efficient as possible. Achieve effective heating under the premise. Taking into account the rigid demand for heating in most areas of our country and the staged goals for future development, the country has made certain plans in recent years to transform traditional heating into clean heating.

In these plans, "zero-carbon" heating occupies a very important position. "Zero-carbon" heating is part of clean heating, but not all clean heating can achieve "zero-carbon". For example, natural gas also produces carbon dioxide during combustion, and electricity is also accompanied by carbon emissions during the production process. Therefore, "zero-carbon" heating not only has limited options, but also has high technical requirements. So does that mean it can’t be achieved? Naturally not.

The heating area covers the entire city of Haiyang, which also marks the my country's first "zero-carbon" heating city has appeared. "Zero-carbon" heating is no longer just a plan, but has become a successful case in use.

It is understood that after this project is implemented, it is expected to replace 12 coal-fired boilers, replace 100,000 tons of raw coal in a single heating season, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions and nitrogen oxide emissions by 180,000 tons. Emissions were 1,123 tons and sulfur dioxide emissions were 1,188 tons. Not only that, residents will also get more favorable heating prices, and it is expected that residential heating costs will be reduced by 1 yuan per square meter of building.

At present, the "double carbon" goal is a challenge for us. In order to meet this challenge, the country should do its best. Although "zero-carbon" heating is still being trialled on a small scale, it will become popular in the future as the technology matures. And depending on the main forms of green energy in different places, the technology and energy required to invest in it can also be imagined. But I believe time will give us a satisfactory answer.
