Recently, the 79,960 cubic meter liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier "Legend Loyalty" built by China State Shipbuilding Corporation's Hudong-Zhonghua was named at the Changxing Shipbuilding Base. This is the fourth generation of the world’s largest shallow-water channel LNG ship built and named by the company. It will continue to expand the transportation capacity of my country’s shallow-water channel LNG ships and add new members to Shanghai’s natural gas supply.
The "Legend Loyalty" has a total length of 239 meters, a width of 36.6 meters, and a tank type of GTT NO.96 L03+. It is classified by American Bureau of Shipping, Kawasaki Steamship Co., Ltd., and ICBC Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. and Shenergy (Group) Co., Ltd. are its joint ship owners.
This ship is the third in a series of river-sea intermodal LNG carriers tailor-made by Hudong Zhonghua for the Shanghai Wuhaogou LNG project. Its unique design draft is less than 8.5 meters. , has the shallowest design draft among LNG ships of the same class in the world; it can reach the river and the sea, and has excellent seaworthiness, especially in the dry season, it can also enter the Yangtze River and Pearl River basins in my country, and has a wide service area; it adopts a unique double stern Fin line shape, excellent speed performance, good course stability, high safety and reliability; using dual main engines and dual propellers for propulsion and dual rudder system control, it has the strongest navigation and maneuvering capabilities among LNG ships of the same level in the world; it has highly flexible transshipment compatibility It can realize liquid cargo transfer between a wide range of ship types from small LNG ships of 30,000 cubic meters to large LNG ships of 174,000 cubic meters, providing customers with flexible and diversified two-way transfer solutions.
It is understood that in the future, the "Legend Loyalty" will form the "Legend" fleet with the "Legend Sun" and "Legend Peace", transporting more than 2.2 million tons from Malaysia every year LNG to Shanghai has become an important part of Shanghai's natural gas supply system, continuously providing clean energy guarantee for Shanghai's economic development and urban construction.
